Mr. Zheng Wenrong has served for Ministry of Agriculture since he graduated from college in late 1970s, focusing on promoting agricultural technologies, trading and transportation management of tropical products like rubber. Over the years, he has taken the following positions:

Director, Department of Tropical Crops, State Farms and Land Reclamation Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture

Director, Working Group Appointed by the State Council to Guide Topical Crops Development in South Asia

Director, Office for Developing Tropical Crops in South Asia, Ministry of Agriculture

Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General, China Topical Crops Society

Deputy Chairman, Committee for Promoting Industrialization of Flowers and Plants

At the beginning of 1990s, on behalf of Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Zheng Wenrong organized and founded Huanan Commodity Futures Exchange, in joint efforts with counterparts from State Planning Committee, Ministry of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Materials and Equipment and Municipal Government of Guangdong Province.

At present, he serves as full-time Vice President and Legal Representative at China Natural Rubber Association.

His other titles include Chairman of Working Committee for Natural Rubber Producers(China Tropical Crops Society), Expert for Reviewing and Accessing National Scientific and Technological Achievement, as well as Distinguished Researcher appointed by Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences.
