Dr. Xiaorong Wang is a Distinguished Professor of School of Chemical Science and Engineering and of Institute for Advanced Study at Tongji University at Shanghai in China. Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. in the Chemical Engineering and Material Science in 1994 from Syracuse University and worked as a Research Associate at Princeton University. He joined Bridgestone/Firestone Americas in 1995, and became a Senior Scientist of Key Management Band in the company and served as the Project & Group Leaders for a number of research groups. Dr. Wang has over 100 international invention patents. Many of his inventions are now in commercial use, ranging from electronic devices to automobile tires. Dr. Wang in 2013 joined Tongji University and renewed his research on anionic polymerization, rheology of complex fluids, reinforcement, micro-phase engineering, rolling resistance and traction. Professor Wang’s hobbies include: cycling and hiking, teaching recreational mathematics and physics for teenagers, his passions are skiing and rafting. |
