Youshan Wang is a professor and Ph. D supervisor in Center for Composite Materials and Structures of Harbin Institute of Technology. He received Ph.D. degree in Engineering Mechanics from Harbin Institute of Technology. He is also the vice dean in Institute of National Defense Technology of Harbin Institute of Technology, Weihai. Academic positions Vice chairman of Rubber Institute, Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China Dual Creative Talents of Jiangsu Vice dean of Institute for Jiangsu Green Tire Research Editorial board members of Tire Industry Project leader of Major project of National Natural Science Foundation of China. Academic achievements and Awards He has been engaged in the fundamental and application research in rubber nano-composites, mechanics of tire and tire structure design theory for nearly 30 years. He has undertaken more than 80 projects including Major project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, special project of National Defense "973", National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shandong Province's major independent innovation project, Shandong Province's independent innovation and achievement transformation project and projects of enterprise cooperation. Based on three theories of tire structure design, a set of optimized methods were proposed to improve the tire performance. Then, 8 analysis software were developed to predict the mechanical response of tire under various operating conditions. Up to present, the achievement of cooperation projects have produced huge economic and social benefits for tire enterprises. He was awarded 1 of the first prize of Heilongjiang Province Award for Technological Invention, 3 of the second prize of the Army Award for Science and Technology Progress, 1 of the second prize of Science and Technology for China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, and the second prize of Hangzhou Award for Science and Technology Progress. Besides, more than 30 China invention patents have been applied, and more than 10 have been authorized; more than 40 academic papers have been published, including nearly 20 high-level SCI papers published in Journal of Materials Chemistry A and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. |
