Dr. Zheng Peng is a professor of polymer science, the director of Agricultural Product Processing Research Institute at Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences (APPRI-CATAS), the director of Engineering Technical Committee of National Engineering Technology Research Center for Key Tropical Crops. Professor Peng received his PhD degree in Polymer Science from University of South Australia. He mainly devoted to the research and development of processing technology, equipment and technical standards of high performance natural rubber. He has successively presided over "National Major Scientific and Technological Achievements Conversion Project (Ministry of Industry and Information)", "Public Welfare Industry Scientific Research Project (Ministry of Science and Technology)", "Preliminary Research Project of 973 Plan", "Special Fund for Technology Research and Development of Research Institutions (Ministry of Science and Technology),"National Natural Science Fund" etc. 62 patents were granted (39 invention patents), 216 papers were published at home and abroad, including 110 in SCI / EI. Seven provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological achievements have been awarded, including national outstanding scientists and technicians, national outstanding talents in agricultural scientific research, first-level talents of "515 Talent Project" in Hainan Province, Chinese Overseas Chinese Contribution Award and Hainan Youth Science and Technology Award.
