Zhang Qiuyu, Ph.D, Chang Jiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of Institute of Applied Chemistry, Northwestern Polytechnical University, member of Polymer Division, Chinese Chemical Society, member of Polymer Materials and Engineering Society of China, member of Aerospace Composites and Applications Division, Chinese Sociery for Composites Materials, member of Chinese Society of Particuology, member of Shaanxi Provincial Academy of Environmental Science, Executive Director of Shaanxi Provincial Chemical Society, member of the editorial board of several Chinese Journals including Polymer Materials and Chemical Engineering.

She Presided over "863 program", "973 program", major projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the general program of National Natural Science Foundation of China , National Defense Technology Foundation, National Defense Basic Scientific Research, military products, aviation foundations, space foundations and other scientific research projects. She has been engaged in the research and development of functional polymer materials and micro/nano scale polymer/inorganic composite materials. In recent years, as the first accomplished person, she has won the Second Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, one First Prize and two Second Prizes of Shaanxi Scientific and Technological Award. A number of Research results have been applied in national defense and other areas. She has published more than 300 papers and obtained more than 50 invention patents.
